This is the mission statement behind dbqp and expresses the approach that Gigie Alunday take with their company. Their main focus is to expand the camaraderie among all martial arts and to unite all groups in fellowship. With their extensive backgrounds in all martial arts, they recognize and give respect to all arts especially when it comes to Filipino Martial Arts. Not only do they want to promote their arts, but they also strive to promote their culture and educate the public on the martial arts of their motherland and her culture.

dA bEST qUALITY pRODUCTS are the host to events such as the Annual West Coast FMA Gathering and the Festival Ng Mga Kapatid. Both events are dedicated to bringing all styles together to appreciate all similarities and to learn from various approaches. The West Coast Gathering focuses on showcasing all styles with a day filled with workshops and demos from various FMA groups. They are hoping to grow the Festival Ng Mga Kapatid to a full scale Filipino Cultural Expo for next year. The owner are also the official FCS/Blade Sport tournament coordinators hosting Blade Fighting at local and national tournaments across the US.

Gigie Alunday

Gigie began her formal martial arts training in 1992 under Master B.Y.Cho in the art of Taekwondo. In 1993, she began competing in the TPA and Taekwondo tournament circuits which led to a spot to compete at the US National Invitationals in 1995. She chose to give up her spot as a possible Olympian hopeful to continue her education and earned double Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Negotiation/Conflict Resolution.

Gigie continued with her martial arts training in 1995 at the Ed Parker’s Kenpo Karate School in Pasadena, CA and earned her Black Belt in 2002. She became the Office Manager of the school until it closed in 2004.

Gigie’s exposure to different martial arts led her to begin training with Sigung Antwione Alferos in Qi-gong and Tuhon Ray Dionaldo in Filipino Combat Systems (FCS) in 2001.

Currently, Gigie continues to train in the arts of Kali, Muay Thai, American Kenpo, Western Boxing and Grappling. She is now under the advisory of Sigung Antwione Alferos of the Whipping Willow Association, and is the first & only female California Representative for Filipino Combat Systems under its founder, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo. At the Summer FCS Gathering 2008, she also earned her Instructorship in FCS. 2009 Gigie made FMA DIGEST's "WOMAN of the YEAR".
